BSP inks MOU with BCDA to transfer currency production facility to New Clark City

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) signed on Friday, 13 September 2019, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to transfer its Currency Production Facility to New Clark City in Capas, Tarlac.

Under the MOU signed by BSP Governor Benjamin E. Diokno and BCDA President and CEO Vivencio B. Dizon, the two government agencies committed to work towards the establishment of the new production facility on a 29.22-hectare parcel of land within the New Clark City - National Government Administrative Center (NGAC).

Swimming, athletics international reps praise New Clark City venues

International representatives for athletics and swimming in the upcoming 30th South East Asian Games (SEA Games) lauded the world-class Athletics Stadium and Aquatics Center built in New Clark City, as well as the technology and equipment used in the new facilities.

Ibrahim Fadil Naddeh, international representative for swimming and secretary of the Swimming Technical Committee of Asian Amateur Swimming Federation (AASF), cited the quick construction of the sports facilities in just 18 months.

New Clark City sports facilities boost performance of national athletes

CAPAS, TARLAC-- The Philippine Swimming Inc. (PSI) and the Philippine Athletics Track and Field Association (PATAFA) Inc. were impressed by the newly built Athletics Stadium and Aquatics Center in New Clark City as both were recently tested by national athletes during the pre-qualifying competitions held here for the upcoming 30th South East Asian (SEA) Games.

 

National athletes test SEA Games-ready facilities in New Clark City

CAPAS, TARLAC — In preparation for the upcoming South East Asian (SEA) Games, national athletes tested the new and modern sports facilities at the New Clark City during the pre-qualifying competitions held here, in the field of swimming and athletics. Competition winners will be part of the national team for the SEA Games which will run from November 30 to December 11.

 

BCDA marks 100 days until SEA Games with 100 trees planted in New Clark City

As part of its commitment to promote sustainable living, the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) on Thursday began its series of tree-planting activities in New Clark City.

 

The activity dubbed “100 Trees for 100 Days” was held 100 days before the opening of the 30th South East Asian Games (SEA Games) hosted by the Philippines, and a week before national athletes transfer to the New Clark City Athletes’ Village. Clark will serve as the main hub of the biennial meet.
