First phase of New Clark City to Clark Airport access road completed
The Php 3.70-billion first phase of the 19.83-kilometer, six-lane road project connecting New Clark City (NCC) to Clark International Airport has been completed.
Delivery of this 5.33-kilometer segment of the Clark International Airport to NCC Access Road project will provide faster and easier access to the gateway’s new passenger terminal – a cornerstone of the administration’s Build Build Build program. Part of the project’s first phase is the iconic 900-meter bridge crossing the Sacobia River in Bamban, Tarlac.
Construction of San Fernando Ferry Port Terminal starts
Construction has started on the Php 35-million multi-purpose ferry port terminal in San Fernando, La Union, a transport facility aimed at cutting travel time to and from the cities of Alaminos and San Fernando, as well as Dagupan in Pangasinan, from more than five hours to just two and a half hours.
The 2,043-square meter San Fernando Ferry Port Terminal forms part of the Tri-City Ferry System initiative led by the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and the Department of Transportation (DOTr).
BCDA, PAF team up to bring aid to Typhoon Odette victims
Responding to the urgent call for aid in the wake of Typhoon Odette, the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), in partnership with the Air Logistics Command (ALC) of the Philippine Air Force (PAF), recently donated relief packages to calamity-stricken families in Cebu.
The packages containing canned goods, noodle packs, rice, water, hygiene kits and other food items were turned over on Dec. 23, Thursday, to ALC chief MGen Florante Amano at the command’s headquarters in Clark Air Base, Mabalacat, Pampanga.
