President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Monday, September 30 led the inauguration of StB Giga Factory, the Philippines’ first manufacturing plant for advanced Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries, at Filinvest Innovation Park, New Clark City, Tarlac.
The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Korean government agency National Agency for Administrative City Construction (NAACC) to promote knowledge sharing and explore collaboration opportunities in the fields of urban planning, smart cities development, green energy, and smart administrative systems for the development of the 9,450-hectare New Clark City in Capas, Tarlac.

Tarlac Vice Governor Carlito S. David recently announced that the Provincial Government of Tarlac fully supports Senate Bill No. 2647, which aims to extend the term and expand the capabilities of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), as it will generate quality jobs and boost economic growth and inclusive development.
David said the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Tarlac passed Resolution No. 289-2024 in July, declaring a strong support for the Senate bill.
