BCDA, Korean gov’t agency partner for New Clark City dev’t opportunities

The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Korean government agency National Agency for Administrative City Construction (NAACC) to promote knowledge sharing and explore collaboration opportunities in the fields of urban planning, smart cities development, green energy, and smart administrative systems for the development of the 9,450-hectare New Clark City in Capas, Tarlac.

Tarlac provincial council signs resolution supporting Senate Bill 2647

Tarlac Vice Governor Carlito S. David recently announced that the Provincial Government of Tarlac fully supports Senate Bill No. 2647, which aims to extend the term and expand the capabilities of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), as it will generate quality jobs and boost economic growth and inclusive development.

David said the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Tarlac passed Resolution No.  289-2024 in July, declaring a strong support for the Senate bill.

New Clark City takes spotlight as model for urban planning during World Planning Congress

New Clark City in Capas, Tarlac, once again took the global stage as it served as the venue for the 1st International Conference for New Cities from September 10 to 13, 2024, organized as part of the International Society of City and Regional Planners’ (ISOCARP) 60th World Planning Congress (WPC) Diamond Anniversary Series. 

Senators express strong support to strengthen BCDA

Citing the positive contributions of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to the Philippine economy, Senators Alan Peter Cayetano and Mark Villar expressed their strong support for amending the Bases Conversion and Development Act of 1992, which will further unlock the potential of its economic zones and enable the government-owned and controlled corporation (GOCC) to contribute more to the national coffers.
