P350-M SCTEX SEAOIL service area breaks ground

The state-owned Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA) said that motorists plying the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) can expect added convenience by the end of the year with the  first ever service area to be constructed by the country’s largest independent oil player.

BCDA President and CEO Arnel Paciano D. Casanova said ground breaking rites for the first SCTEX service area was held on Wednesday (25 February 2015) led by Seaoil Philippines Inc.

“This brings the service of the SCTEX to a higher level because the comfort and convenience of the motorists will be assured.  Once completed before the end of the year, motorists can gas-up, rest and avail of other services they need to travel,” Casanova said.

Casanova described Seaoil’s P350-M service area to be among the icons of land travel in the country.

Seaoil has partnered with CityMall Commercial Centers Inc, the mall development arm of Double Dragon Property Corporation, who will manage the restaurants and convenience store. Among the restaurants that may locate to the service area are Jollibee, Chowking, Greenwich, Mang Inasal, Highlands Coffee, Red Ribbon, Watson’s Pharmacy and Indonesian-based Alpha Mart convenience store.

“We are excited and happy to host one of Seaoil’s major investments and a SCTEX icon at that,” Casanova said.

The two-hectare Seaoil service area is located at the SCTEX Clark-bound/south-bound direction of the Clark-Tarlac segment in Concepcion, Tarlac.
