SCTEX Porac Interchange opens.  President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo leads the inaugural rites of the Porac Interchange along the state-owned Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX).  Among those flanking the President are: Pampanga 2^nd District Rep.  Juan Miguel “Mikey” Arroyo, Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) president and CEO Gen. Narciso L. Abaya (Ret) and BCDA chairman Aloysius R. Santos.  The new interchange will make the towns of Porac, Bacolor and Guagua accessible to and from the 93.77-kilometer SCTEX.
