BCDA's Casanova is new PIPP steering committee chairman

Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) President and CEO Arnel Paciano D. Casanova, Esq. (center) receives a congratulatory handshake from Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Undersecretary Cristino L. Panlilio, after being elected as the new Chairman of the Philippine Investment Promotions Plan (PIPP) Steering Committee. Looking on is DTI Assistant Secretary for investment promotions Felicitas Agoncillo-Reyes. The role of the PIPP is to enhance the country’s competitiveness, increase the inflow of investments and at the same time create the synergy among the various Investment Promotion Agencies to work together rather than compete against each other. By boosting the country’s competitiveness, more investments and jobs are expected to be generated leading to a sustained inclusive growth for the country.
