BCDA launches new products at world-class Heritage Park memorial complex

The state-owned Bases Conversion and Development Authority launched today (30 March 2012) new products at the country’s premier memorial park, the Heritage Park.

The event was well attended by top licensed brokers, pre-need companies, government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs), government financial institutions (GFIs), and government banks.

BCDA President and CEO Arnel Paciano D. Casanova said the new products were created to provide a beautiful environment for memorializing departed loved ones while giving privacy to families and their visitors.

“The Heritage Park, with its Asian architecture-themed structures, lush greeneries and pleasing landscape, creates a sense of serenity and calmness,” Casanova said.

He said the aim is not just to develop the Heritage Park in Fort Bonifacio into a world-class memorial complex with complete facilities and amenities for the departed and their loved ones left behind but also to embrace the Filipino culture and tradition of honoring those who have passed on.

Casanova said that while the death of a loved one may bring deep sorrow, it is also a time where we celebrate the lives that they led and the happy memories that that they shared with us.

“We want to evoke joyful memories of our loved-ones who have gone before us,” he said adding that “it is inherent in us to strive to give our dear departed an elegant resting place, out of our love and respect for them.”

He said new products in the most exclusive areas of the park are introduced in this launching.

The Pavilion Terraces, which leads to the park’s Chinese Architecture-inspired Pavilion, has various types of prime memorial plots such as garden lots, premium private estate lots and the jumbo estate lots that are much bigger than the standard estate lots in other parts of the park. The Church Terraces, located in the northern portion of the park, offers the same product lines, as well as new inventories of headstone lawn lots for those who are looking for smaller products.

New inventory of columbary niches are also introduced in Area 2. Located at the base of the “Angel’s Touch”, the cast bronze sculpture created by Jose Mendoza, are new inventories of columbary niches.

The Pavilion Terraces and the Church Terraces which are both located in the elevated portions of the Park, provide visitors wonderful views of the park landscape.

The Heritage Park Pavilion, the focal point of the complex, conforms to the strict requirements of Feng Shui beliefs and practices. Other impressive facilities can be found inside the park including the Columbarium Hallways, the Pavilion’s open courtyard, Multi-purpose Tea House, picturesque gardens and water features and first-class lavatories.

BCDA invites licensed brokers to apply for accreditation and sell the BCDA-held memorial products. Interested brokers may contact BCDA’s Business Development Department at 575-1758 or 575-1759 for further details.
