JUSMAG Informal Settlers relocated in their new homes

"Kaya natin." This is the message given by Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) president and CEO Arnel Paciano Casanova as he helps carry furniture of families living in the JUSMAG area to a vehicle that will bring them to their new homes in Rodriguez, Rizal. The informal settlers will be relocated to a site of the National Housing Authority (NHA) in Rizal where they will have a house they can call their own. The site is also complete with amenities such as power supply, water supply and is accessible to schools, hospitals and the market. "Our goal is not just to relocate the informal settlers, but to uplift their quality of life," Casanova said, "We are not just after the development of our property in JUSMAG but development of our countrymen as well. We want to see all Filipinos live with dignity."

She voluntarily transferred to her new home in Rodriguez, Rizal. She is one of the thirteen families that were successfully and peacefully relocated to the quiet countryside relocation site of the National Housing Authority in Rodriguez, where they have access to complete housing amenities such as power, water, schools, churches and hospitals. "We are not just after the development of our property in JUSMAG, but the development of each and every Filipino," Casanova said. The BCDA relocation package is composed of cash compensation plus a house and lot that the relocatees will pay from the National Housing Authority if they chose a housing package.

The relocation site of the National Housing Authority (NHA) in Rizal is complete with amenities such as power, water supply and access to schools, hospital and the marketplace. Arrangements have also been made for the seamless transfer of students who were affected by the relocation project. "We want to see all our countrymen living with dignity, enabling them to realize their self-worth."
