The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), builder and owner of the 93.7-km Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), said portalets are now strategically situated at the expressway to serve the motorists during the All Saints Day weekend when traffic volume is expected to peak.
BCDA-SCTEX Program Manager for Operational Support Services and Spokesperson Robert Gervacio said that as a public service initiative, portalets have been installed along the toll road by Petron Corporation starting October 30, 2009.
Mr. Gervacio said two portalets are located at the Subic-bound Dampe Service Area while another two portalets were installed at the Tarlac-bound Pitabunan Overpass.
He reminded motorists who intend to pass through the SCTEX to plan their travel and avoid traveling during rush hours from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. when long queues are inevitable at the exit lanes.
He advised motorists to use the service areas located along the NLEX , Mac Arthur Highway, Olongapo Gapan Road, and in Subic Bay before entering the SCTEX to ensure a hassle-free travel.
