The BCDA sought to intensify conversion efforts in BCDA-administered special economic zones-the Clark Special Economic Zone, the John Hay Special Economic Zone, the Poro Point Freeport Zone, and the Morong Special Economic Zone- to support government's efforts in building super regions throughout the country. These efforts will take advantage of the potentials of the zones as economic havens ideal for investment and employment.

On its 15th year, BCDA unveils two milestones that will propel its subsidiaries to exceptional achievements and will strengthen the country's bid to be an economic gateway to the world.

At the forefront of these developments, is the 93.77-kilometer Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway, the country's longest and most modern tollroad, which has enabled BCDA to pursue national development goals of the Arroyo administration.

Moreover, BCDA celebrates the passage of two very important pieces of legislations-Republic Act 9399 and Republic Act 9400-which finally clears the obstacles that have long-stalled the grant of tax incentives to its subsidiaries.

At 15, BCDA renews its commitment to put the interest of its countrymen above all else while creating more opportunities that will boost the Philippine economy.
